Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords Shot

Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was shot at a store where she was meeting her constituents.  She might be dead.

I can't write anymore, I can't think.

Fuck.  I hope everyone's ok, especially her.

All I can say, is if you've had an election, and you go forth and shoot the person elected, you're not the voice of the people, just an assassin.

EDIT:  She's actually dead, at least that's what it sounds like.

EDIT: Actually she's alive, but very seriously wounded, including a head wound and is in surgery.  Now she's out of surgery, awake, and responding to commands. Thank Gods.  But other people are dead. :(

That's so terrible. Gods. I... I really don't know what to say to that. I'm sorry. Thoughts and prayers for her, her family, and for everyone else who was hurt. That's just awful.

Gods this is messed up. There's a lot of people who care about her here.

The Red Cross called for an emergency blood drive today to replenish the type O blood used during the patching up of all those people. My mom and I got together and went. There was a huge line and a wait time of 3 1/2 hours. At one center. Amazing.
