I think River has a new nickname: the raterpillar.  Because of how much she enjoys eating lettuce, and also because of her technique of nibbling from the edges. ^.^

Thanks. Fortunately I don't get freaked out by stuff like that. But I'm grateful you said it's not life-threatening: My housemates have just lost two especially beloved rats in the past few months, and that's always very sad.

River is getting kinda old otherwise, but we'll see what happens.

Speaking of which, I would have sent this earlier, but she just commandeered my arm for an hour or so of snuggling. So no typing for me. XD
