Very interesting poll. As a very long time SF/F reader it was interesting to see who was and wasn't included. For example: Lois McMaster Bujold is well represented in several categories but Charles de Lint isn't mentioned anywhere that I saw.
The list did leave me feeling like an "old stick in the mud" though, due in large part to the listings of TV and Fan-fic. I've kept up well with world-building in the mainstream press, but not fan-fic. I suspect that untold hundreds or thousands of good plotlines are generated on fan-fic sites that I don't have time to go read. Sigh.
